Dr. Debra M. Smitham is a Senior Consultant with Leadership Development Worldwide, LLP. LDW offers consulting services to business and industry, educational institutions, government agencies, and individual clients. Headquartered in the Greater Boston area, LDW also has offices in New York, Denver and Houston as well as in Europe.  Combined with alliance partners in Hong Kong and Shanghai, LDW serves a diverse clientele across the U.S. and internationally. Debra operates out of the Denver office.

Debra graduated Summa cum Laude from Colorado State University before earning her PhD in counseling psychology from Colorado State University. She went on to complete her training as a Clinical Fellow in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School.

Debra is a member of the American Psychological Association and is a licensed psychologist in both Massachusetts and Colorado. Her professional interests and activities include pre-hire candidate assessment, executive coaching, team building and organizational development, and women and leadership. She also has a strong research background through her previous affiliation with the Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research, where she has a number of publications on substance use and readiness for change.
