Consultants | Dr. Rolf Schmelzer

Dr. Rolf Schmelzer is a Senior Partner of Leadership Development Worldwide.  LDW offers management psychology services to business and industry, educational institutions, government agencies, and individual clients. Headquartered in the Greater Boston area, LDW also has offices in New York, Denver and Houston as well as in Europe.  Combined with alliance partners in Hong Kong and Shanghai, LDW serves a diverse clientele across the U.S. and internationally.  Rolf operates out of Europe. 

Rolf received his BA in Psychology -Magna Cum Laude- from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology.

Rolf was a co-founder of Organizational Development Worldwide (ODW), a global consulting firm, prior to joining LDW.  He previously served as a Senior Consultant with the world’s largest corporate psychology consulting firm, with assignments in Chicago and Brussels, Belgium. He also served as Manager of Human Resources and Management Development worldwide for Pepsi-Cola International based in Purchase & Somers, New York. He subsequently served as Director of Training and Organizational Development for the Consumer and the Real Estate & Business Banking divisions of Citibank, New York. He also held the position of Vice President, Sales and Service in the Real Estate & Business Banking division of Citicorp.

Rolf's management consulting practice is international in scope. His clients encompass European and U.S.-based companies which have global operations, including a major automobile manufacturer and leading international engineering, consumer goods and service organizations with divisions worldwide.

His consulting practice includes work on organizational change, leadership development, management assessment, and international teamwork. His practice focuses on working with CEOs, General Managers, and members of executive teams in aligning business strategy with human resource strategy and organizational culture. His approach with his clients is long term, process oriented and supporting/helping in the actual implementation of change efforts. He has been an invited speaker to major corporations and at international conferences.
