No matter how talented any one individual may be, the coordinated effectiveness and results of the team are essential for the organization's success. LDW team-building experiences are custom-designed for our clients, usually in response to a specific need identified by the leadership team. We believe that team-building is most effective when "real" issues, problems and conflicts are discussed and worked through in a supportive way that encourages candid dialogue and creative problem-solving. Having a trained, objective facilitator present ensures that difficult issues and agenda are not avoided, but discussed in a "safe", constructive fashion. In-depth problem- solving allows participants to generate and commit to action-plans (both individual and team) to address the critical issues. Individuals typically develop a better understanding of one another, as well as a clearer picture of their own individual impact on the team dynamics. Once the change in team functioning and performance has begun, a program for follow-through and follow-up ensures that gains are maintained.
