Anthony J. Saccone, Ph.D.

Dr. Anthony J. Saccone (Tony) is the Senior Managing Partner and a Founding Partner of Leadership Development Worldwide, LLC, operating out of Providence, R.I.

Tony co-founded LDW 25 years ago with a vision of building a boutique executive assessment and development firm to deliver high-touch, impactful executive development services with global reach. Over the course of his 30+ year career, Tony has personally consulted to, and helped to develop, numerous CEOs and their leadership teams in businesses ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups to world-class Fortune 500 companies. He was the 2022 recipient of the RHR International Award for Excellence in Consulting.

He earned a B.A with Distinction in psychology, and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology, from the University of Connecticut. He completed his internship at the University of Connecticut Medical School and Health Center in Farmington.

He is licensed as a psychologist in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and a member of the American Psychological Association, where he belongs to its Clinical Psychology and Consulting Psychology divisions. Tony is also an adjunct faculty member of the Clinical Psychology Training Consortium at Brown University. He served on the Editorial Advisory Board of The Carlat Behavioral Health Report for ten years and previously served for five years on the Editorial Review Board of Consulting Psychology Journal: Practice and Research.

Tony and his wife live in Providence, RI. They have three adult children, and as empty-nesters, enjoy cooking and international travel.
