Joanna Wong, CPsychol, AFBPsS

Joanna “Jo” Wong is an Alliance Partner of Leadership Development Worldwide, LLC., operating out of Bristol, England.  A Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a 15-year career in human capital consulting, Jo specializes in leadership strategy, assessment and executive development.

She has broad, cross sector experience, leading programs for talent and succession, leadership assessment, and coaching and development within global clients, often within a broader context of restructure, organizational and cultural change. She has led programs within companies such as HSBC, Novartis, Santander, Rolls Royce and William Hill. In her most recent role as a Senior Manager in the Deloitte Centre of Excellence for leadership, Jo trained psychologists around the world to develop their practices.  She also worked with clients directly in applying psychology to the field of leadership to support business strategy and deliver ROI. She has coached at the board level and enjoys operating as a trusted advisor in support of her business and HR stakeholders.

Jo graduated from Oxford University with an honors degree in Experimental Psychology. Following her nomination for a British Association for the Advancement of Science prize for her undergraduate research she was invited to join a research team (Oxford University, Oxford Brookes, London Institute for Education). She then completed the BPS Post Graduate Certificate in Occupational Psychology (PCOP) and received Chartership in Occupational Psychology in 2011, during her time with Kaisen Consulting.

Jo is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and is active in the Occupational Psychology and Coaching groups.  She is on the BPS Register of Applied Psychology Supervisors, which supports the next generation of psychologists as they work towards Chartership.  She is registered with the HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), the body regulating and overseeing professional practice in the UK.

Jo loves to travel and has worked with leaders in Thailand, Hong Kong, Turkey, UAE, Brazil, Canada, USA, Switzerland, Nordics, Poland, France, Spain, Gibraltar, Belgium, Ireland, and Germany.  She is particularly interested in women in leadership and coaching through critical career transitions.
