Dr. Robert Schmieder is a Senior Consultant and Alliance Partner of Leadership Development Worldwide, LLC, operating out of his Seattle, Washington office.
Rob has extensive experience with leadership assessment and development activities amassed at various consulting firms and serving in-house at a major software company and e-tainling entity. Rob has particular expertise with clients in the software, telecom, financial services, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and retail industries.
Rob designs and implements talent strategies that increase the effectiveness of organizations. He specializes in leadership assessment and development, and takes a holistic approach that leads to sustainable change for individuals, teams and organizations. His work is grounded in current management research, and balanced with a pragmatism gained through 20+ years working with a range of organizations as both an external consultant and as an internal leader.
As a consultant, Rob has presented on talent management, leadership development, leadership team development, and organization development at international, national, and local professional conferences. He has been published in peer-reviewed journals and books on organizational health and organizational change, and has taught courses in organizational behavior, statistics, interviewing, and human performance improvement.
Rob graduated magna cum laude in psychology from Western Washington University and earned a Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from Bowling Green State University.
